Llama’s herd grows it’s digital expertise

Marta Safin and Mags Sikora, specialists in social media and content, and SEO strategy for the travel industry have joined the Llama herd. They bring with them a deep understanding of optimising digital channels for travel brands, and have worked for some of the biggest names in the industry.

Like some of her fellow herd-members Marta was part of the Cheapflights team, where she worked as Content Manager and Global Campaigns Manager, delivering content strategy and leading paid social media activities at a global level. After its sale to Kayak, she joined the Dentsu Aegis Network agency Fetch as an Account Director, looking after Hotels.com, Uber, Apple Music and many other clients. In 2018, Marta started her own consultancy helping startups and small businesses build digital marketing strategies, and since 2021 has been the head of digital for an agency, leading a  team of social media experts driving brands’ relevance in culture through digital strategies.

Mags has specialised in SEO for nearly 15 years, initially working agency-side for clients which included Avis and Boscolo. From there she moved in-house with a role at an extreme sports publishing house covering 22 websites and a video-sharing platform, before joining Expedia to oversee their UK and Ireland SEO division. She’s worked in a variety of travel brands since then, setting up their SEO departments and devising and implementing their search strategies. Her most recent client-side position was as a Group SEO Director at dnata/Emirates Group, where she led the SEO divisions across Netflights, Travelbag, Emirates Holidays, Travel Republic and Dnata Travel across more than 40 markets globally. Latterly, she’s worked with a specialist US-based SEO agency supporting the development of SEO strategies for Skyscanner, SKIMS, Allbirds, and Compass.com.

Chief Llama, Andrew Shelton commented: “Optimising your digital proposition has to be a fundamental consideration in any wider brand strategy. Having Mags and Marta in the herd means we can help the brands we work with to stay at the cutting edge, whether technically, or in terms of content and engagement. Digital is an ever-evolving space, and Mags and Marta’s expertise will ensure our clients stay on-point.”
